Acciona has reached an agreement to acquire 80 per cent of Vertical Earth, an infrastructure contractor based in Georgia. The transaction consolidates Atlanta as the strategic hub for the growth of the Spanish multinational’s Infrastructure division in the United States. The deal is expected to be finalised before the end of the year, subject to the regulatory approvals required for this type of transaction. Brett Johnson, founder and CEO of Vertical Earth, will retain a 20 per cent stake in the company and will continue to lead it.
