
The railway manufacturer CAF is seeking to expand its international footprint by taking part in the tender launched by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) for the manufacture of ten new passenger trains for the railway network in northern Saudi Arabia. The Spanish company is already a supplier to SAR and has a significant presence in the country. The Saudi operator currently has 18 diesel trains supplied from its Spanish factories, of which six are deployed on the Northern network and a further twelve are in service on the Eastern network.
