CIMIC (ACS) is to build the new East Perth Primary School for 165 million dollars

CPB Contractors, a company belonging to the CIMIC Group (ACS), has been selected by the Government of Western Australia to carry out the main works on the new East Perth Primary School — a provisional name during the planning phase —, a four-storey urban school funded by the Government of Western Australia that will provide modern learning facilities for pupils from pre-school to Year 6.

Since being awarded the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract in October 2025, CPB Contractors has worked closely with the state government to define the scope of the project and the construction programme, thereby paving the way for the start of the main works. Construction of this major project, valued at $165 million, has now reached a key milestone with the award of the design-and-build contract to CPB Contractors.

Jason Spears, Chief Executive of CIMIC Group, said: “CPB Contractors has extensive experience in delivering high-quality educational facilities and construction projects across Australia. This important social infrastructure will provide modern learning environments that will support students and families in East Perth, Northbridge and Perth’s financial district for many years to come. Its sustainable design and inclusive learning spaces will also help set a new benchmark for primary school construction in Western Australia.”
