Ferrovial, ACS and Sacyr have entered the final stages of the two largest toll motorway tenders scheduled for this year in the United States. The Spanish groups form part of the shortlisted consortia competing for the Tennessee and Atlanta projects, two dynamic toll lane concessions that will require a combined investment of over 10,000 million dollars and which, according to market sources, could generate around 60,000 million in revenue over the course of the concession.
The consortia finalised their preparations for submitting their bids during July. In the case of Tennessee, the deadline was in the middle of the month, whilst the Georgia tender is set to reach its key milestone in the second half of the month. Although the sources consulted note that the timetables are subject to change, decisions are now expected between summer and autumn: first for the I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes in Tennessee, and then for the I-285 East Express Lanes in Atlanta.
