The multinational infrastructure and transport company Ferrovial is to invest more than 1,000 million euros in the construction of a data centre campus in Alcobendas (Madrid), with a capacity of over 100 megawatts (MW).

The announcement was made on Thursday at a conference organised by the newspaper 20minutos by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who stated that the initiative had been fast-tracked by the regional Investment Accelerator and had been designated a Project of Special Interest.
