Acciona, Torrescámara, Sacyr and Dragrados are among the 18 firms vying for the first major flood-prevention contract worth 132 M

This is the project to redevelop the La Saleta ravine, a scheme that has been called for for years in l’Horta Sud, particularly by mayors such as Guillermo Luján of Aldaia, which will enable floodwaters to be diverted towards the new Turia riverbed and reduce the risk of flooding in several municipalities.

The list of bidders, published on the State Procurement Platform, shows that major construction groups are competing for the contract; most have formed temporary joint ventures (UTE) to bid for the contract given its scale. Competition is fierce.
